These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the WinSYS City Campus website, student and parent portals, and enrolment in our courses. By using our website, applying to study with us, or enrolling, you agree to these Terms. Please also see our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of this agreement.
1. About us
WinSYS City Campus is an IT, networking and cyber-security training institute with campuses in Colombo, Kandy and Batticaloa, Sri Lanka, delivering programmes independently and in partnership with recognised awarding bodies.
2. Eligibility & admission
Enrolment is subject to meeting the entry requirements of your chosen programme, seat availability, and payment of the applicable fees. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an application where information provided is false or incomplete, or where a prerequisite is not met.
3. Fees & payment
Fees are payable as set out at enrolment, by cash, bank transfer or online payment. Overdue instalments may attract a late-payment notice and, where an instalment plan has been agreed, a late fee as communicated to you at the time. Fee refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
4. Course delivery
We aim to deliver programmes as advertised, but reserve the right to make reasonable changes to timetables, lecturers, delivery format (in-person/online/hybrid) or campus location where necessary โ for example due to low enrolment, lecturer availability, or circumstances beyond our control. We will give you as much notice as reasonably possible of any material change.
5. Student conduct
As a student you agree to: attend classes and meet the attendance requirements of your programme; behave respectfully towards staff, lecturers and fellow students; follow campus rules and health & safety instructions; and maintain academic integrity in all assessments. We run submissions through an internal similarity/plagiarism check as a review aid โ this supports academic integrity but a similarity score is never treated as proof of misconduct on its own.
6. Assessments, results & certification
Certificates are issued once you have: completed the programme's academic requirements; settled all applicable fees; had your certificate name verified against your identity document; and, where required, submitted any outstanding documents. We reserve the right to withhold or revoke a certificate where these conditions are not met or where academic misconduct is established following a fair review.
7. Digital platforms (student & parent portal)
Your login is personal to you โ do not share your password, and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. You agree not to upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content, and to use the portal only for its intended academic and administrative purposes.
8. Intellectual property
Course materials, recordings, notes and assessments remain the intellectual property of WinSYS City Campus (or our licensors) and are provided to you for personal study only. You may not reproduce, distribute or publish them without our written permission.
9. Website use
We aim to keep website content accurate and the site available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all information (including third-party links) is error-free. Course fees, dates and content are subject to change; the version confirmed at enrolment governs your programme.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, WinSYS City Campus's liability for any claim arising from your use of our services is limited to the fees you have paid us for the programme in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disaster, government action, pandemic, strike, or failure of a third-party service we rely on.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate a student's enrolment for serious or repeated breach of these Terms, non-payment of fees, or conduct that endangers others, following a fair process appropriate to the circumstances.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please raise it with your academic coordinator or email info@winsys.lk in the first instance, so we can try to resolve it directly.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes affecting current students will be communicated directly.
